On 12 April 2019, I ran an exclusive workshop at Estoril Circuit in Portugal. I took local racing drivers through the Get Paid to Race book in an interactive half-day session that had them thinking about their branding, niche, approach to research and how they pitch.
The session was organised by CRM Motorsport, the organisation in charge of the Kia Picanto GT Championship in Portugal.
The workshop took place in the VIP Lounge of the Estoril Circuit, with the support of Kia Portugal, Portuguese Federation of Motor Sports and Karting (FPAK), Motorcycle Federation of Portugal (FMP), Estoril Circuit, Motor Club Estoril, Movielight, and Andreia Pinto.
“After a decade in which we were closely linked to motorsport in the most varied aspects, we saw the difficulties that the pilots had in maintaining their careers. We decided it was time to contribute again to the projection and professionalization of the sport through a workshop that would help them in this goal,” says CRM Motorsport CEO Tiago Raposo Magalhães.
“Jess’s knowledge will give participants a set of fundamental tools that will impact their projects, as well as national motorsport.
“We are not alone in this journey and so I want to thank all the partners involved who, from the first moment, wanted to join this initiative,” he concludes.
Watch this space as I have more international workshops planned as well as some in the UK.
